Autumn Newsletter and Latest Offers Bank House B and B Penrith.

After a glorious but very busy summer where we saw temperatures reaching 30 degrees. With guests from all over the world, America, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa to mention just a few places they were not deterred by the heat. Bank House once again received a 4 star grading and we received the Breakfast award again from Visit Britain. The quality of our locally sourced and produced breakfasts is something guests often mention when they stay.

So now we see the beginnings of the Glorious Autumn colours. This is truly a wonderful time to see the Lake District and surrounding area. A quieter but great time to get some good walking in and tick off those Wainrights as well. So a great time to take advantage of our 3 for two offer. See left.

There is so much going on: After a very succesful C-Art open studio event covering all of Cumbria. There is still the exhibition of specially selected artists and designers at Rheged until the 10th November. And still so much to look forward to, with Ullswater Steamers RSPB Red Deer Days, an escorted journey to witness one of nature's finest spectacles 'The Red Deer Rut'. Apple Day at Acorn Bank and all that Halloween and Bonfire night have to offer in the region.

3 nights for the price of 2 offer now till 18th December and from the 6th January till March 31st. Go to our Tariff page to check availability and book

Winter Droving:

Looking slightly further ahead to Christmas we have a wonderful weekend of events leading up to the 30th November and 1st December. I personally am looking forward to a repeat of the Winter Droving: a fire procession, with burning torches, giant lanterns, light effects and eclectic music, truly extraordinary. On the 1st December Keswicks Victorian Fayre featuring Santa and real reindeer.
